Tillamook Cheese Factory

A lactose intolerance's personal hell. Or our favorite part of the trip! We just spent a week in Seaside Oregon and loved our day trip to the cheese factory.

A trip to Oregon isn't complete without a trip to Tillamook Cheese Factory.

What more could we ask for? Watching people work while we relax. Staring at conveyor belts of cheesy goodness. Sampling free cheeses. Eating delicious ice cream.

And taking home a goody bag of cheese, all tax free!

Plus, they have a hippie bus as their mascot! Yes, we fell in loaf, the first time!

Island Trip Part 1

Last Tuesday we went to Vancouver Island for the day. Yes, folks. A day trip! Our goal was to visit Goats on the Roof in Coombs, and to pay a much needed visit to the Pie Guy by Englishman River Falls.

We made it to Coombs no problem. Saw some goats. Ate Ice Cream.

Sat in a vintage Coombs taxi.

And for Karmen and Greg, saw a two headed Rooster.

We went to the Pie Guy afterwards, only to find out that his website was outdated and he had closed down his shop. So, no pie for us. So sad! So, off to Englishman River Falls we went...

Dang you Ikea!

....And your cheap particle board.

Merely sitting on your items causes them to break as we found out at 11:30 one evening. After realizing that there was no way to repair the bed frame as it was, we took it apart and slept on the mattress on the floor. The upside is that Ikea comes apart quickly (yah allen wrench!) We were all set to go to Ikea and complain (since we only wanted replacement parts and NOT a new bed), when Dan noticed a second set of holes for the screws to go into a few inches above the first set. A few minutes later, we were back in business bed again!

Well Loved

Micah:  "My brother loves me sooo much that he gave me all his toys!"
Joel: "Hahaha! They'll never find him under all those toys!"

Kilt Boy

Micah in a kilt! Had to surprise my Scottish husband with a cute photo shoot of our little boy in a kilt. Dan loved it!
