Goofing Around

Micah mauling his monkey

I may be the only one enjoying this moment! Although Micah let out a good screech of delight to Joel's tears!

My hair! Oh my hair. Don't eat it Micah...its NOT food!

Momma and her boys!

Finally a nice one with Joel! (with only 100 or so outtakes!)

Cute little boys

I love this picture of Micah. It definitely is a Micah pose. On his tummy, in a push up with a weird look on his face.

Joel giggling! A nice sight!

Welcome!

Yes, you are in the right place. Yes, we have revamped. Look at all the cool stuff you can do now. Back when we started this blog, I think there were only a few choices for your template and you really couldn't do much with them. But blogger has improved, and we have "figured" it out. So, welcome to a brand new look.....
.......if only they would load pics properly now.

(PS. Send us a message if you can't see the pictures. They tend to screw up every so often, and we don't notice most of the time)

Full Circle

Somethings in life seem to come full circle.

An older gentleman sits behind us in church every week. He LOVES our boys. I can see him smiling at them, making them giggle, and holding their hands. Sometimes I wonder if he comes to church just to see the boys. Our boys love him as well. They love to say hi and toss toys at him so that he'll pick them up. My boys look for him when we sit down. I love hearing this gentleman's stories about his granddaughter. He genuinely loves kids. And genuinely loves my boys.

Little did I know, but our paths have crossed before. Not directly, but indirectly. You see, a few years ago, I used to volunteer/work at Youth For Christ. Along with Big Al and Doug, we ran the drop in center C-21. A place for teens in our community to hang out and find solace. We built relationships with the youth, led Bible studies, made them eat gross things and cared for their souls. Little did I know, but that elderly gentleman who loves my boys.....He owns that building!

When I learned that, it felt like my life came full circle. That two very separate stages of my life came crashing together in a cosmic flurry of amazingness. I feel as though those separate stage are connected now. Connected by one man who loves kids. Both youth in our community and two very special boys in our church.

A daily Mission

It just one of those things that sometimes goes well and other times does not. My mission, should I choose to accept it: Get outside for a walk.
Every mother knows that this is no small feat. It involves numerous steps, sometimes repeated, before one can accomplish their goal.
Feed toddler. Feed baby. Change baby. Change toddler. Rescue ball from beneath couch to keep toddler happy. Get stroller. Retrieve ball again. Pack diaper bag. Find wallet. Check cell for messages. Respond to missed message. Fill water cup. Pack wrap. Change baby. Pack snack for toddler too busy to eat snack. Clean up spilled goldfish crackers. Go pee. Realize its raining. Find rain cover. Check mail box. Open mail. Read mail. Rescue ball from couch. Pack stuff into stroller. Change toddler. Rinse cloth diaper. Wash hands. Shoes for toddler. Jacket for toddler. Shoes for baby....where are they? Find shoes. Shoes for toddler? What was I thinking? Boots for toddler. Jacket for baby. Feed baby, again. (had shots today...needs extra cuddles) Rescue toddler from tipped over stroller. Console toddler. Clean up spilled milk. Baby into stroller. Toy for baby. Close rain cover. Jacket for momma. Shoes for momma. Hat for toddler. Hat for momma. Go outside. Toddler wants to play in puddles. Go inside. Take off boots. Put on rubber pants. Boots for toddler. Outside. Walk down street. Toddler picks up rock. Toddler falls while carrying rock. Tears. Toddler wants to wash hands. Inside. Wash hands. Baby sleeping. Put baby in crib. Take off boots. Take off jacket. Fall into chair, exhausted. Repeat.

The Problem with Rolling Over

Things happen to get in your way. Oy!

Micah, you gotta learn to roll the other way too!

At the Park

We went to walk around Mill Lake Park last week.

Apparently, we all needed to have fun! My mom spinning in circles!

I almost fell off and nearly puked! Yuck!

Dan jumped off, before he fell off!

Micah is a dare devil and LOVES the swings and slide.

The brothers ride the slide together

So sad to leave the park!

Drool bomb!

Fun with Grandma

Sticks are Joel's favorite toy
